Twin-wall polypropylene corrugated boxes for produce, seafood, meat, pharmaceutical, and industrial applications. Lighter than cardboard, stronger under load when wet, reusable 200–500 trips. FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 food-safe. 0% anti-dumping duty (Thailand-manufactured) from Thailand.
PP corrugated boxes are rigid shipping and storage containers fabricated from twin-wall polypropylene corrugated sheet — the same base material as corrugated cardboard, but made from polypropylene plastic instead of paper fiber. The twin-wall flute structure (two flat faces bonded to an internal fluted layer) delivers exceptional rigidity relative to weight, making PP corrugated the strongest waterproof packaging material at comparable weight to cardboard.
The defining advantage over cardboard is moisture performance. A standard cardboard box loses 40–70% of its compression strength when wet. A PP corrugated box retains 100% of rated stack strength regardless of moisture exposure — wet, dry, submerged, or condensation-laden cold chain environments make no difference. That structural reliability is why PP corrugated has become the standard in fresh produce, seafood, meat, and pharmaceutical cold chain logistics worldwide.
Elipacko manufactures PP corrugated boxes in every standard produce, seafood, and industrial format — plus fully custom dimensions, wall thicknesses, vent patterns, and printing. All Thailand-manufactured product ships to US ports at 0% anti-dumping duty (Thailand-manufactured). USA Manufacturing coming soon.
PP corrugated sheet is manufactured by co-extruding polypropylene into a continuous twin-wall flute profile — two solid PP face sheets bonded to a corrugated inner flute layer. This is done in a single extrusion pass, producing a void-core structure that is 70–80% air by volume but structurally rigid in compression. Sheet thickness runs from 2mm (lightweight inserts) to 12mm (heavy structural panels). Boxes are cut and scored from flat sheet — no molds, no tooling, no minimum run size constraints from tooling investment.

Polypropylene corrugated boxes are manufactured from twin-wall PP sheet in 2mm–10mm gauge. Unlike cardboard corrugated boxes, PP corrugated boxes are fully waterproof, reusable for 30–100+ trip cycles, and resistant to mold, bacteria, and cleaning chemicals. Elipacko manufactures PP corrugated boxes in any dimension, wall thickness, and flute orientation — ready for direct food contact applications with FDA and EU 10/2011 compliant resin.
Single-piece blanks scored and die-cut for assembly without tools. Most economical format. Ideal for medium-volume shipments. Flat-packed for storage — assembled in <10 seconds.
Side walls riveted or taped at seams for higher stack strength. Common in agriculture produce boxes, seafood crates, and meat lug replacements. Washable — food-grade grades available.
Ultrasonic or hot-plate welded for maximum structural integrity. Used in heavy-duty returnable containers where stitched construction is inadequate. Higher unit cost; 200+ cycle service life.
Regular slotted container format — identical footprint to standard cardboard boxes. Drop-in replacement for corrugated cardboard where waterproofing or reusability is required. Custom sizes match existing packing lines exactly.
Most of Elipacko's PP corrugated box volume is custom — built to exact interior dimensions for a specific product. MOQ for custom boxes starts at 500 units; full containers (FCL) from Thailand receive best pricing and fastest production turnaround.

Cardboard corrugated boxes cost less per unit than PP corrugated boxes on a first-purchase basis. The economics invert rapidly in any reusable or washdown application:
Compression strength depends on wall thickness, flute direction, and box geometry. As a reference: a standard 4mm PP corrugated box (400×300×300mm) has approximately 400–600N edge crush resistance when stacked with flutes vertical. This is lower than a comparable triple-wall cardboard box — PP corrugated's advantage is in waterproof performance and reusability, not raw compression strength. For high-stack applications, 6mm or 8mm wall with welded corners is recommended.
Yes. Screen printing up to 4 colors is available directly on the PP corrugated sheet before box fabrication. Ink adhesion on PP requires corona treatment or adhesion promoter — all Elipacko print production includes this. Digital full-color print is available as print-and-apply label on 3–4mm sheet. For large orders, direct print is more economical; for short runs (<500 units), label application is preferred.
Flat-packed (unassembled) in bundles. A 20' FCL container can hold approximately 3,000–5,000 medium PP corrugated boxes depending on flat dimensions. Thailand-manufactured PP packaging products enter the USA at 0% anti-dumping duty, unlike Chinese-origin equivalents which face 25–200%+ AD/CVD tariffs. Sea freight: 18–22 days Thailand → US West Coast. Air freight available for urgent quantities up to 500kg.
Food-contact grade: yes. Elipacko offers FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 and EU Regulation 10/2011 compliant PP corrugated boxes using virgin resin with food-approved colorants. These are used in produce, seafood, poultry, and meat packing applications. Non-food-contact grades use recycled PP content and are not suitable for direct food contact. Specify food-contact grade at time of quote.
